Deborah Challinor

Deborah Challinor MNZM has a PhD in history and is the author of fifteen best-selling novels. Her Convict Girls series, set in 1830s Sydney, is inspired by her ancestors, one of whom was a member of the First Fleet and another who was transported on the ‘Floating Brothel’. Deborah Challinor also writes non-fiction. She lives in New Zealand with her husband and is a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to literature and historical research.
