Else Fitzgerald

Else Fitzgerald is an award winning writer based on the Mornington Peninsula. Her writing has appeared in various publications including Australian Book Review, Meanjin, The Guardian, The Suburban Review and Award Winning Australian Writing.  In 2018 Else received a VicArts grant from Creative Victoria to work on her collection of short speculative fiction, which explores landscapes, language and technology and the ways they may shift and alter in a radically changing world. This manuscript won the 2019 Richell Prize for Emerging Writers. In 2020, Else received a Resilience grant from the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body, to support its completion.
