David Lewis

David Lewis was born 1917 in England, of a Welsh-Irish family, and brought up in New Zealand and Rarotonga. His major works include Icebird; his account of his first solo voyage into Antartica, We the Navigators and Shapes in the Wind, all based on his own sailing adventures around the globe.

David Lewis died in 2002.
