Magdalena McGuire

Magdalena McGuire was born in Poland, raised in tropical Darwin, and now lives in Melbourne. She won the Mslexia short fiction competition judged by one of her writing heroes, Deborah Levy and has been awarded a Varuna fellowship and a Moreland City Council writing residency. Her fiction has been published widely, including in Mslexia, Overland, Island and The Big Issue. Magdalena’s first collection, Born For You, was published by Ultimo Press in 2023.
