Saman Shad

Saman Shad was born in Pakistan, and grew up in the Middle East, the UK and Australia. Her writing spans mediums, including radio scriptwriting for the BBC in the UK and the ABC in Australia, and playwriting, with works commissioned by theatres across London and Sydney. She has also worked on screen projects, including developing a feature film called 'The Lucky Country' that received funding from Screen Australia. Most recently she was a screenwriter on an upcoming series for the ABC titled 'The Disposables'.

In addition, she’s a journalist, having written for several publications, including The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald and SBS.
