Who can apply?
We encourage applications from diverse and creative individuals who are looking to gain professional experience in publishing. We do not require any previous industry experience, just demonstrated interest and an enthusiasm to learn.
When and where?
Curtis Brown runs an internship program in our Sydney office twice per year.
Session 1 runs from March to April, and applications will be open throughout January and February.
Session 2 runs from August to September, and applications will be open throughout June and July.
At the moment we are unable to offer remote internships.
What does the internship entail?
An internship session at Curtis Brown goes for 8–10 weeks, with interns spending 1–2 days per week in person at our office in Paddington. Areas covered by our program include publishing contracts, editorial skills, administration, rights selling and general industry/market awareness.
Are internships paid?
Please note that as our internships are unpaid, we offer a daily stipend for travel and other needs while interning with us.
What is the application process?
To ensure that every applicant has an opportunity to put their best foot forward, we hold interviews.
